Samsung has announced that their upcoming Moment Android smartphone will be the first American phone to include the free Mobile DTV standard. There is no word when the Moment will be launched for the public, but it is being trialed in Washington D.C, the first city to receive the free broadcasts. The pic doesn't show 1.6 firmware. It shows 1.5 firmware. There is no 1.6 firmware for the Moment. Just 1.5, and 2.1 in a few months. ;)

Sorry to say but your Moment won't support the free DTV. They haven't released the Moment with the DTV chip yet.

BTW, I'm in the same boat as you.. :-(
