YouTube has posted today that they have begun testing a "feather" version, a lighter version of the site which will allow for the quickest loading and playback of the videos.
Says the streaming giant:

The defaulting to standard quality makes sense, however the other stuff like keeping comments to a minimum isn't a big deal. I can't imagine loading some text eating a bunch of bandwidth. Who knows though, if you're loading video after video maybe it adds up. No complaints here.

Youtube itself loads quick for me, but the videos haven't for at least the past 6 months. I'm on a 15Mbps connection so that's not the problem. I live in San Antonio and not some 3rd world country, so that's not the problem. I'm really not sure what the deal is, every other streaming video site works just fine. Just with youtube I gotta hit play, then pause, then come back in 5 minutes to watch the video.
The page with the video on it pops right up, the little box with the video in it pops right up. I hit play and I gotta wait and wait and wait.

Well I figured it out its download healer add on that kills and lags the connection to youtube..had to turn off all my add ons and see what did what...
