YouTube has announced it will begin upgrading HD streams to 1080p from the current 720p, offering support for video playback in Full HD. What a joke They should upgrade there 720P to 60 fps before messing with other things.

Vimeo always looks better then youtube.

re-encodes?!

That is not going to work on big monitors. Taking 50% of the data on a 10gig movie is BAD.

I watch stuff in full screen on my 20 inch monitor with the HD option ticked and imo it's good quality and streams hella fast. This would be a nice addition if it works.
