I thought I had made a thread about this on here previously, but I can't seem to find it so I start a new one.

I had noticed that when I burn a CD-R as audio from mp3 files using Nero at 16 speed with my new burner the disc often has search problems on my Marantz, like for instance if I hit track 10 on the remote I will hear it searching but will fail, this does not happen on my slightly older Sony player.

But I tested something today that has narrowed the cause down, I burned the same files as audio on the same brand od CD-R, but this time I burned at 8 speed, and by doing it at the slower speed enables the search on the Marantz with no search problems.

After what I have just written here do you think it is just the Marantz in that it just can't cope too well with how my new writer burns when it's burning at 16 speed.

If I have a thread similar to this on this forum please accept my apologies and move it please.
