Recently I bought some Verbatim CD-Rs to make some Ps1 backups for my Ps2 but when I burned them, they didn't work. I then got a Sony Cd from a friend to make sure it was the brand that was the problem and it worked. Afterwards, I bought some Sony Cds (since the Sony brand I just used worked) and they didn't work like the Verbatim (the Ps2 makes some funny sounds because it can't read them). I've made a bunch of backups with Sony Cds in the past so obviously they've updated the model of Cds.
Also, I think the cds can't work in the PS2 no matter what I use them for (like audio cds) since putting one in before it's burned also causes it make weird sounds, while using an old model cd doesn't.

The question is, does anyone else know about this problem, and what brand of cds should I use? My model number is SCPH 500010.
