Hi,

New here but in need of some help please. I've just downloaded some .mkv files. Never used these before, and I'm trying to convert them for use with my ps3 (or even dvd at this point). I have download the VLC player and the files play on my laptop fine.

Problem is, I first tried using mkv2vob but the 'add file' field is greyed out. I managed to assign a directory output location, but the add file field is still greyed out and although I can select the file to add, as soon as I hit 'add', nothing happens, greyed out again.

So, after searching online, found txmuxer and installed that. When I go to add the file I just get an error message saying 'Error: can't open stream'. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no difference.

I've watched tutorials on youtube of how to convert these files but nobody seems to come up against the same problem! The files play fine with VLC.

Can anyone please help me? I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks.
