Are Any Component to HDMI Converter Boxes Good?

A few years ago, I ran Component cable through the walls to feed a TV in the bathroom. I can't so easily pull it out and replace with HDMI, so I was wondering if any of the Component to HDMI converters (such as stardock's stuff) is actually usable. The reason I would need this, is most LCD monitors (not TV's) are shipping without component, so replacing the TV will get harder and harder if I don't have HDMI.
