There are websites on which one can watch whole movies, however he can't download them.
I know there are programs like Camtasia Sudio, which enable, among others, recording of video-clips displayed on the PC's screen; however, it seems to me I have read somewhere, that the quality of such recordings isn't suitable for recording movies.
Is that so? and if the answer is "Yes", what programs, if any, are suitable for recording such movies?
There are numerous free programs available to download online videos. Here are some. Some sites are more difficult to download videos from, but if you are persistent in trying different aps (free or pay) you can find an aps that will successfully D/L from all. From my experience, not one ap alone will be able to D/L from all sites, so I use a combination of aps -
I use Video Download Toolbar to D/L YouTube, Google, MySpace, IFilm, Metacafe, Dailymotion, etc videos. It's lightening fast, and allows you to download 3 or 4 videos at once. However, if you choose to D/L more than one video at a time, it proportionally cuts down the speed, ie, 1 = 2400kb/sec 2 = 1200kb/sec, etc.
Hulu Downloader is the only ap I've found that will D/L videos from Hulu.
Flv Recorder is the only ap I've found that will D/L videos from PBS.org.
I use VDownloader when I want to cut corners, as it will D/L in AVI format instead of FLV, and you can set the size.
That reminds me, if you need to convert your FLV videos to another format, Oxelon Media Converter does a good job, and it's free.
