Is there any software that can read out subtitles from a file in an synth voice (ie MS Anna)?

Would be cool if the Haali media splitter had a "verbose subtitles to external application" function that sent the currently playing subtitle text to an application for reading.

If there isn't is anyone willing to help develop such an application?

Doesn't it kinda defeat the whole purpose of subtitles?

I mean, even a bad dubbing would probably beat a computer generated voice.
