i converted my avi files to vob and created the ifo and bup files needed. i used nero 7 to make a dvd video and burned it. i put the dvd in my dvd player and all it does is freeze my dvd player. i've been trying very hard for the last 2 days to do this. i've gone through 4 discs already and i'm starting to lose it. i don't want to use some program like convertxtodvd cuz it left a really bad watermark that pops up literally every 30 seconds! and i don't want to buy the full version. can someone please just help me out. i'm new at this but i really want to learn how to do this.

Try DVD Flick, it's free.

WHat discs are you using? At what speed do you burn?

Try saving the project to your HDD and then manually burn with ImgBurn.

Freezing/hanging of a dvd is always caused by bad media. You can use nero to run a disc quality test. You need to get at least a score of 90 for it to playback good.

Sony and verbatim blank dvd's are the best for burning movies.
