Incomplete Encoding of AVI fiels

I use Film Machine paired with both CCE 2.7 and Procoder 3. Certain avi files will not completely encode when I use either CCE or Procoder. I've also used the included HCEcoder and QueEnc encoders, same result. However, it does an entire encode using ConvertXtoDVD 3, but has a small output size.

Is there something with these avi files causing an incomplete encode or is there some other underlying factor. Like I said, it's just some files, maybe 1 out of every 25. Thanks.
