I have a newbie question, if anyone's willing to answer I have an avi file that I wanted to burn to a DVD. Its a good quality avi that looks good when I view it on a laptop. I used DVD Flick to write the VOB/IFO files. Then I used ImgBurn to build the ISO file and write to disk. When I view the VOB files, using SMPlayer, they look great. But, when I convert the VOB files and write to disk, the finished product has large blocks in the dark areas. I think they call that pixelation? If the VOB files look fine, is the most likely problem with a) the way that I'm burning the disk, b) the way that I'm converting to ISO, or C) the way that I'm writing the VOB/IFO files?

Like I said, I'm a newbie, so please forgive my ignorance! Appreciate any help you can offer.

If you watch the burned DVD on your computer, can you see the pixelation?
If the VOBs before burning are okay, and the burned DVD shows pixelation on the computer, then the problem is with the burning process/disc.
However, if the burned disc looks fine on your computer,is because the pixelation/artifacts is less noticeable on a small computer screen.

Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!
