hi all - im trying to get the most out of my storage space but still keep as much quality as possible.....
so theres some movies that i want to convert from both ISO & others that are in their original dvd state - to "MKV using H.264".
the reason for the quotation marks is that ive seen it recommended by an AD member who is pretty knowledgeable, considering all he contributes to the forums. heres the thread where he recommended it:

now i just wish he might have gave some suggestions as to how to do it.
what tools / programs, etc....
im looking to shrink these down from 4 Gig + but still keep really good quality.
i just converted one using dvdfab 5 but am not happy with the results.
i just downloaded (but havent installed yet) autogk, but i really think that what i want to do is what i stated above (convert to mkv using h.264) to ensure that i keep as much quality as possible.
any help/tip/advice, as always - MUCH appreciated!
