Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a solution to a problem that I'm sure many of you have experienced before...

Sometimes when I burn movies to a disc and try to watch them on my DVD player the audio and video are out of sync. This same file plays back fine on my PC, though. Is the burn speed too high, perhaps(?) I've tried different burner programs and get the same result so it seems not to be the software at fault. I found a how-to on AD that outlined steps to offset the audio in ms using Media Player Classic. However, if the original plays back fine on my PC I won't know what to set this to so that the audio and video 'line up' when I burn the file to disc and playback on my DVD player. What to do? This doesn't happen often but when it does it's annoying. Is there a solution to this?

Thanks in advance...

If the sync issue is constant throughout the DVD, AviMux_Gui will fix the ORIGINAL in less than a minute (does run in compatability mode in Windows 7)(free too): http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/ Download vl binary 17.8, open the avi in it, highlight it and select generate data. In the lower window that appears, highlight audio and if other than 0 appears to the right, select start which creates a new avi to use. The original will play fine on your pc so I check all first. If a gradual sync issue, you can have a look here: http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/249676-Conversion-out-of-sync (old thread, any version of GSpot is fine) Never tried that though and this is not a permanent solution but I've found that fast forwarding and returning seems to put some in sync, no idea why.
