I've done this twice now using a different process each time and still coming up with the same negative results.

Original avi file played flawlessly on the computer. Audio and video matched up perfectly. I watched the entire movie through twice to make sure it wasn't an issue with the original file.

First try, I Converted the file using ConvertXToDVD and burned the disc through the same program. Everything was fine at first but somewhere during the first 2-3 minutes of the movie the audio fell out of sync and progressively got further out of sync until the 10th minute where the dvd completely froze. It is now a frisbee.

Second attempt, I again converted the file using ConvertXToDVD using the step by step walkthrough on this site thinking maybe that would help. Burned the disc using ImgBurn again going step by step through the tutorial. Playing the dvd back in the computer as I write this and the audio is again extremely out of sync--a good 10-15 seconds ahead of the video. I'm about 30 minutes into the film and there's been no freezing or skipping, so that problem has been resolved. However, the issue with the audio is making it unbearable to watch. This disc will now be used as a coaster.

I really don't want to have to continue wasting discs with trial and error. If anyone knows what is going wrong during the conversion or burning process and/or an almost definite fix to the issue please get back to me. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance

Try playing the video_ts folder directly from the HDD before you burn it
and see if that is OK. AT least if it's bad there, you know you have an issue
during the encoding.
