It's an .flv file not mpg.
Copy/b doesn't work with flv.
If you want to join it to itself use Avidemux.
Run Avidemux and drag the .flv file onto the window two times (or File > Open then File > Append).
On the lower left side of the screen set 'Format' to flv.
Click 'File' > 'Save' > 'Save video' and give the joined file a name (including the .flv)

avidemux says unsupported video, only FLV1 and VP6 are supported.
Combining the flv would be good..
Though I gave the wrong link, I meant to link to the mpg, this is it
http://www.sendspace.com/file/4luzga and it's not combining with a copy of itself, when I try combining it and its copy with copy /B
Originally posted by attar: I can join the .flv files with no problem in Avidemux - and I can join the .mpg files using the copy/b command with no problem.
If you play the mpg, it runs 25 seconds - the copy/b command is merely joining two binary files - it's not a video editor.
If you add the mpg in AviDemux, you will note that the time doubles when the second instance is added and if you elect to save the format as MPEG-TS, the saved file will show as 25 seconds in length.
Same for the FLV.
Playing both.mpg in VLC, I notice as you suggestm that the duration shows 12s but displays 24s.
But playing with WMP, it's just 12s. (approx. 12s/13s).
maybe a bit different when appending mpg to mpg with avidemux but still a bit of an issue.. In one case it played the mpg to the end of the progress bar in WMP, then continued afterwards.
I get variations of funny results.
But when I give avidemux AVIs to create AVIs via append, it works perfectly. The duration it claims is absolutely right, and it plays for the right duration. According to my test anyway.. I may just stick with that.
