i've searched google and here for a few hrs with no avail, so heres my problem. i usually use VLC media player for all my video playbacks, and its never failed me before, but now when i attempt to play mkv files it has this ghost image of whats being displayed in a yellow tint slightly off center, and flashing bars going down the screen.

I re-installed my k-lite codec pack and nothing, but now when i play it in wmp the bars going down the screen disappear, but the yellow-ish ghost image is still present...

i'm all out of ideas, so any/all help is appreciated.
