I have several short video files recorded using a Sony Cybershot still photo camera.

They playback fine on my daughter's PC (using WMP), but on MY PC they don't show the video (I CAN hear the audio).

I've removed any extra codec packs from my PC. My daughter's PC has DivX installed, but when I tried that it didn't help.

So, I got GSpot and tried several of the videos in it...

All of them fail the Audio test at step (box) 2:

Failed to Connect Output Pin 0x06344d0c ("Audio") on MPEG-1 Stream Splitter to Input Pin 0x0639eddc ("Input") on filter 0x041893e4 ("MPEG Layer-3 Audio Codec for MSACM").ConnectDirect() failed. Error: 0x80042000 (unknown)

The weird thing is that when I try the MS A/V solution it PLAYS JUST FINE?! I just cannot play in WMP.

I don't understand what "solution" GSpot is proposing...

Any idea how to fix this? Thanks VERY much!
