So I've been having this problem for a little while.
For some reason my computer is having troubles with multi-media, i've tried a os reinstall but that hasn't fixed this problem.
Basically if i have more than one mpc open playback will freeze generally(eg it doesn't always freeze at two open instances). The 'frozen' instance will display the image at whatever time i point it to but it wont play and theres no sound. If i have say 10+ instances of vlc open it'll cause my nt kernel and system to just to 20%(im running on quad core so im guessing that why its only 20) which doesn't sound like a lot but it causing my computer to almost grind to a halt.
I have no problems with games or internet.
I've run avg on my entire C:\ drive but came up with nothing
I thought it may have something to do with me running on crossfire but disabling didn't help.
On moving to a new os i copy my %appdata% folder over to keep settings(though i fucked the move on utorrent and now i have 900 hundred torrent that need sorting/deleting)
any ideas? Im running on the latest beta of mpc but i only updated because of this problem.
