Ok, so I have part one of a two part DVD. It's in XviD format. I can't FWD through the movie without getting errors. Is there any player or tool I can run the file through so that I can FWD and RWD the movie?

Thanks!

If the file has lost it's index it might show these symptoms.
You could load it into VirtualDub, click 'Video' > 'Direct steam Copy' and resave the file or try 'Divfix'.

Thanks for the info. I will give that a try. I'll let you know what happens.

Ok, here's the error I get after I open the video in VDUB

After doing what you said, I can FWD about 20 seconds or so into the film, then it hoses up. Sometimes it will continue on, but mostly hoses up or starts over from the beginning. Any ideas?

I went ahead and tried DivFix. It corrected all the damaged indexes. Everything is working properly now. Thanks for your help!
