Hello everyone, I have an issue that seems to be a little more complex than I first imagined.

*First of all, PLEASE forgive me if this topic is in ANY way unrelated to the base purpose of this thread. I read the rules and guidelines, and basic instinct pointed me to this section.*

I created a 30 second spot in Final Cut Pro...
[ HDV 1080i - 29.97 - 1440x960]
and I need to burn this to DVD in the best quality possible. I am not entirely familiar with this process, but thats another story. I would assume I would send the footage from FCP to Compressor, then export as SD-DVD (to DVD Studio Pro) at the highest bitrate possible.

Now... what is confusing me is the fact that feature films are/were recorded to DVD (SD-DVD?) and had a very high resolution. Although, when I burn a very short video to a DVD-R at the highest bitrate possible(FCP>Compressor>DVD Studio Pro), it is FAR from "top-notch" quality. What am I doing wrong? I can provide any information needed.
