ANYDVD update problems

I have purchased and have been using ANYDVD HD and CLONE DVD for quite some time with no troubles to speak of. I purchased before they went to subscription, and get frequent updates. For about the last 6 months every time I download an update from Slysoft, my computer freezes up while scanning the download for virus. It will not recover I usually need to use task manager to shut down every thing and restart. I have Vista 64 bit.I asked Slysoft support about it and got a one line answer that they have not heard of this problem before. Has anyone else run into this? It only happens with Slysoft updates. Thanks
