Just thought I'd let you know I had the same problem. ( I already had a thread opened for this subject per the above link). I was able to get a copy using the latest version of DVDFab. Just make sure pathfinder is enabled. Mine didn't work until I enabled it. Good luck.

BerryOne, your missing a step
1) When you use ANYDVD to rip the files onto your hard drive, it saves them into VOB files
2) you cant open those files in DVDFAB8 because wont read VOB files (when I ask it to open the files, it looks for INI,ISO,IMG and NRG files, NOT vob files so dvdfab is looking at a blank folder
please retype your steps and include the next step after anydvd rips the files
and those people mentioning Pathfinder, they mean PATHPLAYER, right? because it doesnt matter in my version of DVDFAB 8, (V8.0.3.2) I have tried all three selections and none show the files

I just used ANYDVD Ripper option to backup my Toy Story 3 to my hard drive
I than opened DVD Shrink and loaded up the folder files and hit BACKUP and it wrote the entire DVD to a backup dvd

I used DVDFab 8.029 to rip the dvd to hard disk. Then ran it through DVD Shrink and burned it to disk with Nero. No Problems

I used the latest version of DVDFab and ripped it. Then I got about 10 main titles. Does anyone know which title to use when encoding it with Shrink?

EASY WAY! YES anydvd does work.....it will take TIME for it to be ready - let it run as it see's "9" complete movie's (more on this in a sec).....rip to hard drive.....use shrink - open file's - THIS TOO will take time, it will list something like 3-4 min to finish - if you have video preview running,,,you will see it (the movie) be "jerky like" - DON'T WORRY!!!!.....NOW (and this is the important part) RE-AUTHER....now here are your "9" movie's listed under the MAIN MOVIE section and they will look like this.
title 20 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 20 (angle 2) 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 20 (angle 3) 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 45 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 45 (angle 2) 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 45 (angle 3) 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 78 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 78 (angle 2) 01:42.28 5,271MB
title 78 (angle 3) 01:42.28 5,271MB
JUST dbl click title 20 and hit BACKUP and that's it!!!!
Oh and by the way,,,,,all the listed title's are THE SAME! You can only use 1 so I just chose the first one listed..... The file's on the factory disk have a "jump back" encoding after every VTS file....

Has anyone managed to shrink Toy Story 3 to a single 4.7 DVD while retaining the main menu for scene selection?

Using anydvd and dvdfab8, and there is no sound. Before I rip it with dvdfab8 it shows it's going to back up video_ts but there is no sound. You can't even click that box.
Can anyone help?
