I am trying to use 3 programs to add different language subs to a AVI file . The first is called " VIRTUAL DUB , #2 SRT TO SSA CONVERTER #3 VIRTUAL DUB SUBTITLER PLUG IN . When I open virtual dub I extract all files and have 5 or 6 icons and there is no program that looks like the one on this site where you see a grey interface that says select filters and hit add followed by load . The second program opens up fine but has anybody else had this problem and can explain what to do ?

There is no installation for VirtualDub.
It runs when you click on the application program 'VirtualDub.exe'

You don't even state what you want to do...
-do you want to hardcode the subtitles?
-do you want to convert the avi file and burn it to DVD?
-do you want to play the AVI on a Divx certified DVD player?
If you would take some advice, it would save you lots of time and headaches.

Yes , its the same issue in both threads . It's not that I don't want to take advice I just can't figure how to do this other then I installed something called subtitle workshop and was able to watch the avi file with the different language subs on my computer only I can't explain the problem too clearly other then the sub translation is not moving along in the same order in which the people are speaking or else I would be somewhat satisfied watching this on the computer . If someone has used this program and knows how to get it to work more properly then I would appreciate this as well as how to burn the avi file to a disc with the subs to watch on a DVD player .
