Hi, I'm new here and I am in need of desperate help. Today I used the imgburn to burn a file onto my DVD-RW. That file i had converted from AVI to DVD earlier today. My problem is is that when I put the DVD into my DVD player on my TV and hit play, it worked fine, but close to midway through it froze and won't work anymore. Can someone please help me, this is supposed to be a gift to my girlfriend for her birthday and its in 4 days, thats why this sound so urgant. Is this a problem with the DVD or with the method in which i bured it?

Well, it seems to be working. The problem it seemed was that on my dvd player it wouldn't work, but on my brothers, a newer version, it did. Im going to have a friend try it out as well.

I do have one more question, i looked at the guides and couldn't find the answer, so here it is. If i already burned something onto a dvd, is it possible to burn another video on as well, or do i need a second dvd?

DVD+RW and DVD-RW are rewritable discs that allow material to be added to them, so you can add recordings to them as long as those recordings do not exceed the unrecorded space on the disc.

As for DVD-R and DVD+R, those media are dye-based discs. Once the dye is "burned," it cannot be changed. Video can be added to them as long as the table of contents is not closed ("finalized"), but that means adding recordings on the same recorder or drive that started the recordings--no other recorder, player, or drive can read the discs until the discs are finalized. Once the table of contents is written into the dye area, it cannot be changed. You will have to use another disc for more video.

Do not use re-writables for this purpose. Use a standard -R or +R disc.

Does that mean that once you finalized the disc, it worked for your girlfriend? If it works, wish her a happy birthday from Afterdawn.
