Hi:

New to the forum, there were some older threads on the subject, but here's what I must do to make the N.Y.E. party in the practically finished mancave ROCK!

I want to take several tracks from multiple Concert DVDs and create one or more discs that will play continuously.

I expect 2 kinds of trouble:
1) unable to play tracks due to some form of copywrite protection
2) Can't actually find the tracks to write as they have only .VOB file extensions, and while the music DVD has 18 tracks, only 6-7 show up (using explore in Windows). Perhaps imgburn is the "decrypt" tool?

Thanks for ALL YOUR HELP. If you were in my town, I'd invite you to my party! I prefer specific answers, I'm not really a techno nerd (one friend suggested roaming around looking for a solution though LINUX, and that's probably no help to me).

THANKS, and my party-goers thank you too!!!

ImgBurn doesn't decrypt disks.

Are these tracks like chapters on the DVD (can you click 'Skip' on the remote and jump to the next one).
If so you can try using the old DVD Decrypter in 'IFO Mode' to select the chapters and save them to a folder.
Do that for other disks (save chapters to folders) then you can perhaps save the lot to a new DVD.

Yes, these are chapters (As I say, 18 on the DVD, but explore in Windows lists a few .vobs, all without any reference to chapter number). I'll look for the old decrypter.

What about copy protection (will the new disc play when burned??)

Thanks!

If it can be decrypted to the HDD, then it can be burned and played.
The advantage of using DVD Decrypter is that it can selectively rip chapters - but the program hasn't been updated for years, thus it may not work.

It ain't going to work on a music dvd thats for certain.. they use the latest protection always...

fab at the minimum.. output an iso and take it from there.
