Open the DVD disk using DVD Shrink.
Click 'Re-author'.
If the videos are individual titles, they will be listed in the right pane (Title 1, Title 2, etc).
Select the correct title and drag it from right to left pane.
You can play it to verify it's correct.
Click 'Backup' and save to a new folder.

If the videos are combined into one large title, drag it as before to the left pane.
Highlight and select 'Set start/end frames'.

The problem isn't DVD Shrink - it isn't a burning program (although it can link to Nero or other programs, if installed).
If the Dell is new - then Dell support should be fixing the problem with burning disks.

Perhaps related, Roxio is/was well known for causing burning problems.
It was known not to co-exist with Nero.
Nero has a downloadable Clean Tool to remove all traces of the program.
Roxio had RoxiZap or similar name - but I don't know if it is still current.

None of the programs (Nero, Roxio, Ashampoo) are well regarded in many sites - there are better, supported, free alternatives.

Try using ImgBurn to burn the files output by DVD Shrink.
If it can locate the burner but fails to burn, check the log for help resolve the problem.
If it cannot locate the burner - and this is a new PC, then DEll should be assisting.

DVD Shrink output the files to a folder - does that play ok (use a media player like VLC File > Open Directory)?

Can DVD Shrink open the disk?
If it does it should playback the video.

Can a media player like VLC play the disk.

Does Explorer open the disk and list the size of the VOB files (around 1GB max).
