I have a DVD that is rather lengthy. After using DVDShrink, it's compression rate is WAY up there.
Q) Can I - instead of simply using DVD+R or DVD-R - can I just install a "DL" disk?

If you wish, in Preferences, you can select 8.5GB target and burn a DL disk.
If you are going to burn a DL, make sure it is a Verbatim DVD+R DL disk and burn it with ImgBurn.

I have ImgBurn - it does a great job.

What I have for DL is Memorex. That reads out as a RITEC on my reader. My FujiFilm DVD's (-5 & +5) are also a RITEC readout.

I have only been burning @ 4X - so far - with ImgBurn - 100%
