alright, lets hope this doesn't elicit scorn from the admins here...
I've read several posts to try and find a solution to my problem, I've used the online dvd flick guides, I've followed the self help process ad infintum. I learned my computer competence in unix, i'm new to burning dvds and pc navigation, please help me.
I've been trying to burn a movie to a dvd-r so that I can play it on my dvd player. originally the file was an Xvid file. I converted it to dvd format using TMPGEnc and then tried to burn the dvd on DVD Flick (which I guess uses ImgBurn for the burning process). Everything works fine until the finalization step where it barfs at 74% complete. I get the error:
I/O Error!

Some notes:
on line 4, the file I encoded is on an external drive (F) formatted as FAT32, but the file I am burning to disk (from the DVD Flick destination folder, or so I hope) is on my C drive, which is formatted NTFS. As I've read, ImgBurn doesn't have issues with files > 4gb with NTFS drives..
The disk plays in my dvd player up until some point where it (for lack of a better word) sticks and reverts back to the main menu if i don't immediately fast forward.
oh please help. I'm frustrated.

Try Verbatim brand that says 'Advanced Azo' on the package.
Don't buy the 'Value Line' disks from Verbatim,

I've called around to several best buy / office max / office depot / radioshacks in my area... no one carries that particular type of verbatim disks. What exactly is it that is special about them? could I go for another brand that I can more easily buy that does the same thing? I've been using hp 16x 4.7 gb (120 min) disks.
