I recently got engaged, and a couple in the restaurant video taped it, and gave me a DVD+RW with the video on it. I can play the DVD on my computer, but don't know how to capture it to a single .avi or similar format. The disc has many files on it (.VOB, .IFO). The VOB file is the biggest, I assume this is where the content is.

How can I convert the video in to a familiar format to post on websites and e-mail (It's only 30 seconds long)?

you will find that .vob is mpeg2 .. so just copy it from the disk and convert it to whatever with avidemux
