This is one of the symptoms of poor media.
'Verbatim' brand disks are a good choice for consistently good results.

Agreeing with Attar and expanding..
Have you changed disc brands recently?
Changed speed of burn?
Does it freeze on all hardware? (Standard DVD player, PC DVD-ROM, portable, etc?)
Can you rule out the hardware you watch it on with an older "known good" disc?
Also how old is your burner? It may be sign of early failure of your DVD burner since if theres any wobble or error in the spinning/burning of the disc it shows up most at the end of a disc since it burns from the inside out. End of movie = outer edge of disc.

Does it freeze if you play it on the computer?

What about if you copy the video_ts folder to the hard drive
and play it from there? Does it still freeze?

These are just general troubleshooting tips, but not sure if you've
tried them or not.

Are you saying that if you copy the video_ts folder to the hard drive
and then play the movie from the hard drive it still freezes?

Did you get any read errors when you copied the video_ts folder ?
Do a disk quality check on said disk using Nero's CD/DVD speed
program. You can get it here if you don't have it:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tool...VD-Speed.shtml. How does the disk score?

If the disk checks out OK, then perhaps your encoding suite has gone
wrong somewhere. Try playing the content on the harddrive
before writing it to disk.

Try Changing the TARGET AREA to 4300
I Don't use Xili But I'm Pretty sure you can do this in The preferances.
Since it freezes on Long Movies and Not Short ones.

Burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the Blank Media

Get those Verbs like attar suggests (8X -R)

And Check for a Firmmware Update.
