I don't know what happened! I downloaded passkey, like someone suggested and that didn't work, so I tried the other, dvdfab and THAT didn't work. So I deleted that as well. Ever since then, When i tried to burn back up copies, it won't burn! I even tried a dvd that I know worked. when I go to use dvd decrypter to burn, it says device empty but there's a blank disc there! And my dvd rw driver, when I click on it says that its in use when its empty. I have no idea what's going on. please help, I don't know what I did!

I should add that my dvd rw is still saying that the dvd i just ripped is still there, but it's not, i ejected it.

I just tried to check it for errors, and it says it can't while it's in use. Theres nothing in the drive though!

Renee

Try:

Repair.....using System Restore to the point (Date) before you download Passkey.

Good luck !

Maybe go and uninstall your dvd drive and then reinstall it on your device manager. Restart ur pc and try again.

I Doubt That Passkey Is the Source of Your Troubles.
What is the Make and Model of Your Burner?
How Old is Your Burner?
Have You Installed Imgburn?
Is Your Firmware Up-To-Date?
Have You Changed Media?

I never thought passkey was the issue. I was just concerned that i had inadvertently deleted something while cleaning things out. The system restore thing works.

My burner is less then a year old, I use a toshiba laptop i bought in March. What do you mean by firmware?

Imgburn Can Tell you What Your Burner Is and It's Firmware. It Will also Give You Info On the Media You are using, as Weel as Burning your Movies to Disc. It Is Like Decrypter Exept It Does not Have a Ripper. Also Another Useful Program That Is Quite Popular Here at Afterdawn is Ccleaner. It Will Aid in Unistalling Programs.

I'm Glad That Restore Helped.
