Hey guys,

I have Nero Start Smart on my desktop "Nero OEM Suite" (I think that is Nero 6 - it has Nero Express + Nero Vision Express), installed from the disc that came with my DVD burner when I purchased it.

When I try to "make DVD-Video" for some files I try to load it gives me an error message about Dolby 2-channel decoding and tells me I have to download "DVD-Video Plug-In".

I tried to download it from a torrent, it gives me 2 files to download into my Nero programme, folder "VMPEG2Enc.dll" and "Nedsp.dll".
It also gives a serial number to enter into Nero.

However when I enter the serial number this seems to fix my problem (WITHOUT downloading the 2 files it has given me).

Can somebody please tell me what is going on ?
Why does it start to work when I have only entered a new serial number, and not actually used the 2 files it gave me to download ?
Does this mean my Nero programme is stable ? / functioning properly ?, or should I download them even though it appears it's now working by just changing the serial number ?

I was confused about why I needed to download it in the first place !?
And now I'm even more confused that just changing the serial number seems to have fixed it even though I haven't actually installed the 2 files it gave me.

Any help appreciated !

Thanks

A bit more info which might help to identify the Nero OEM suite I have downloaded from the disc that came with the purchase of my DVD player.
Opening Nero on my computer and looking at "programmes" it says :
*Nero Digital 3.1.0.16
*Nero 6 Demo 6.6.0.19
*Nero Media Player 1.4.0.31
