Hi,
I have a Samsung DVD Player/Recorder that also plays VHS tapes.

For years since I got it, it always recorded my shows and they came out in VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS files.

Last night I recorded a program, then took out the disc and put it in my computer to make a copy of it, only it was a DVD_RTAV file.

Does anyone know what happened?? Why all of a sudden it recorded in this other mode (which I know nothing about)??

I UNPLUGGED THE UNIT, PLUGGED IT BACK IN, RESET THE TIME, RAN IT THRU THE CHANNEL MEMORY AGAIN, TEST RECORDED 2 MINUTES, PUT THE DISC IN MY COMPUTER AND IT SHOWS VIDEO_TS FORMAT AGAIN, NORMAL. RESOLVED!

THIS THING IS GETTING OLD AND FUSSY. I CAN PUT A BLANK DVD+-RW IN THIS UNIT ONE DAY AND HAVE IT REJECT IT AND PUT THE SAME DISC IN 2 DAYS LATER AND IT WILL FORMAT THE DISC FOR USE AND WORK FINE. BEATS ME? IT'S JUST GETTING UNDEPENDABLE.
