I use Nero 8.x and have 2 DVD Burners, 1 is SATA and the other is IDE. Should I have any problems burning on both burners at the same time, whether it's data or my backups of my purchased movies?

My system specs are: Core2 Duo e8400 with 6Gb of DDR2 running Win 7 Ultimate.

Thank you.

I've never attempted it but with your system you should be fine. Fast cpu and 6gb of ddr ram....I don't see a problem. Let us know how things turn out. Please be detailed in your description and include you system specs.

My system specs are:

So far so good with 2 instances of Nero 8.x running different movie backups and other images to the 2 different burners at the same time.

I've never bothered burning different data to different drives at the same time but i have been burning the same data to multiple concurrent burners for years now.
This is across IDE and SATA and USB burners, and combinations of same, and of 8x and 16x discs, -R and +R (and the +R get booktyped correctly), again with combinations of all of the above, this is under Nero 6.6.0.18

So far whether backing up 2 DVDs at the same time or burning 2 different DVDs at once it's all working smoothly so far. No problems running 2 instances of Nero or the backup prog, it's not overtaxing either core, the two HDs or my memory and all discs work fine. Nice to know I can do this, always wanted to try.
