Hi,

I have a homemade DVD video (not a data disc) with NO copy protection. Can anyone advise me how best top copy the disc - can I simply copy the files of the disc and burn them to another (will it play in a conventional DVD player) or should I use copying software. If so which is the best FREE copying software to use.

Many Thanks

Use the powerful freeware burn-engine Imgburn.

http://www.imgburn.com

Use first in Read mode, then in Write mode to burn.

If you have a PC with Operetion System XP and most probable you do. You can find a very simple Burner already in your PC:
All Programs > Sonic > "RecordNow"
to copy CD's or DVD's with no copy protection.

You are much better off going with Imgburn as 7th suggested and staying away from anything with the Sonic name on it.

Especially since Sonic only comes free with certain brand machines, not just because of XP OS's. it is some of the extra bloatware that comes stuffed in HP/Compaq machine i believe. Could be Dell...
