Hi Again

Thought I would start afresh with this little problem I am experiencing?I downloaded DVD Fab on advice..and want to end up with just one compact file: Not several IE = 2 x IFO 2 x BUP 4 x VOB

well I have experimented with 2 x dvds..and I have output file with the above files e.t.c. I tried the custom settings but still several files??

How do I turn it in to 0ne file..I must not be doing something correctly I can see that .....but I can not see how to make it one file

hope I am getting a bit nearer

all the best Steve

In DVDfab select Main Movie
Then Where it Says Target: at the far right will be two Icons One is a File Folder and One is a Page with a Disc over it Select That One, it will Create 1 Iso File that will Fit on a Single layer Disc that can Be Burned with Imgburn

hello again..
Well I have made a wee bit of progress? I can now see moving pictures??

I still get nothing when I click on the ISO file itself.but when I click a few times on the screen of VCL player it starts to play but not from beggining? I have tried ordering the chapters e.t.c. but it refuses to play from the start? also it refuses to start after pushing play button..only when I click in the actual screen..

so we are getting there slowly

if you have any suggestions how-to sort out these problems.....it would be very much appreciated

all the best Steve

I don't know why you are having all these issues...However, I've encountered other threads where people say the DVD starts playback in the middle of the movie or something, totally wacky...like this one:

.

What version of DVDFab do you have(assuming the latest, but just to double check...)
Also, try disabling "Path Player"(it gave me an error when I tried to rip an older disc, and PP was enabled). If that doesn't work, You might need to run the ripped files though VobBlanker and/or FixVts (two extremely simple processes, basically a on-two click).
Try that.

Hi There
have had a break from this today but many thanks for getting back to me I do really appreciate it

it will not surprise you to hear that those two small files FixVts & Vob Blanker were not liked by Vista?? and i got a wrning message saying they could not be downloaded as imfo was missing?? so I thought oh no not again..so i trieda few things and made some progress.

First up when I made a playlist file and sent it to my film file folder..I then clicked on it..but like before nothing just a still picture..but when I clicked the screen a few times it did begin from the satrt??

how & why will need more expert heads than mine but it is progress of a sort!

Wish I could just click Play and that was it..but i think I should be thankful to get this far...

if you can spot anything more I can do just let me know...

On a seperate note...Is it not possible for these software designers to produce an all in one simlified process instead of all this bits & pieces approach..my god they can do wonders these days..but they still seem to make basic proceese over complicated( even though I know everyone is not as retarded as me)
