downloaded a file, which was downloaded in RAR file format, with a grand total of 40 of these files. There was no SVF file present. I extracted the RAR files using WinRAR, and was presented with an ISO file at the end of the process. I attempted to burn the ISO file to a blank DVD-R disc, using a number of different software programs including Alcohol 120%, and DVD Decrypter.
In both instances, the program ran for about 12 seconds, returning the comment:
"Burn Operation failed! Invalid media format used...."
When I used the dvd burning software application, "Free DVD Burner", when I added the file due to be burned (the ISO file) for some bizzare reason it stated that the file was actually a WinRAR archive file! This is despite the fact that it clearly says "ISO" file.....
Just in case, I uninstalled and reinstalled Winrar, this time ensuring that "extract ISO" was disabled. I tried extracting the file again, got the ISO, again, and the same problems arose.
DVD Decryptor is outdated install imgburn it will update the burning side of dvd decryp as it's made by the same guy get it from software section it's free
Poor disc quality would be my first guess,go get some verbatim RW or Imation RW so as not to make coasters
Would pay to post the size of the iso file both the sizes that get shown in properties i.e
4.76 (4,038,125,568 bytes)
Have you been able to burn other data ok including other iso's as well as movies games etc.
