Alarming Shareaza Returns

Hi all. I just downloaded and installed Shareaza 2550. I already had it but I was suspicious of it. The returns were really... out there. I realize that what's literally out there has nothing to do with Shareaza or any other app used to deliver content to the user. But I'm getting virtually nothing useful and a lot of crap, such as limewire returns that tell you to go somewhere in order to lose the ads, lol. Also, The behavior of the program itself is different in one respect; It hangs when I close it. And just now, after closing it - I have it set to close immediately when I click on the close icon - and restarting it, I found it running and downloading one file I had queued some time ago!

I get my Shareaza from Sourceforge. I don't know what more I can do than that. I know Shareaza has been hacked in the past. Is something up with Shareaza again?

And I can't for the life of me figure out why all of my icons in Shareaza are VLC cones. (I made sure to resent my Winamp's file associations. It didn't help.) Anyone know anything about that?
