I downloaded a mkv file. I tried to play it on vlc but got only video and no sound. Tried to play it in windows media player and got sound and no video. Divx player won't play it at all. Please help.

if you wanna use windows media player try k-lite codecs pack.mkv videos work fine for me in windows media player.
