You must have a pretty old version of Firefox, then. The Youtube Video Downloader hasn't worked for the past few versions of Firefox.
Since version 3.1, firefox download helper allows you to save YouTube to desired format and much higher resolution 360-720p. Save YouTube music video to your iPod is more convenient now. Convert flv youtube video to mp4 format.
