SIMS 3 Disc Authentication

Couldn't figure out where to post this so here it is.

Couple of days ago I bought Sims 3 for my GF and I. We have our own computers next to each other. We both want to play the game, often at the same time, but of course I didnt want to spend $100 for two copies of the same game.

Anyway, I installed the game and entered the serial key, no problems. Then I used Alcohol 120% to create an ISO and mount it.

When I play the game, it gets to the main menu and says "We are unable to verify if you disc is a valid copy of the Sims 3" and then closes.

How do I circumvent this. I don't really want to use a noCD crack, they can be problematic
