Tough to say, because you left out a lot of details like computer specs, what program you used to burn the DVD, and what you are playing the DVD on, computer, set top player.....

Does the video play fine, before you convert it and burn it to a DVD?
What brand DVD are you burning to?
What video card, processor, etc. do you have in your computer?
Are you multitasking while you burn the DVD?
