Whats the best way to way to view the Internet on TV?

I have a PS3 which allows me to do view internet on my main TV,

I am after a device that can view the internet on a TV upstairs to watch Iplayer etc.

I am not after a video streamer, i want a standalone device, it can be wireless of wired to my router (wireless prefered)

I have read a few threads but they are a few years old and at the speed technology advances they will probably be out of date

Any advice would be appreciated?
