I understand the situation with backing up but I have hundreds and hundreds of DVD-r ISO of everything under the sun when it comes to television from the 60's to present and I have hundreds of dollars spent in Verbatim DVD's. I am streaming now and do not need them but just looking to get compensated a bit rather than tossing them or letting them sit.

Thoughts?

Ah, very true.

Life span of a Verbatim disk unused in optimal temperatures.

Also, I wonder what Sony or whomever would think of selling and donating every dime to charity in there name?

So I am contacting my states Attorney General today to see if I can sell all of the disks and donate all proceeds to charity in the names of the movie studios. Just a thought and not sure if anyone has ever tried it.

technically if you dont own the original discs its piracy, if you do own the original disc and your selling copies without including the original its piracy.
i have actually seen a few copied discs in local charity shops for sale but im sure they were donated and not purchased by the shop.
^^^^^ selling illegal copies off movies can get you in serious trouble

blank discs are about $10 for 25 (in my local shops) cheaper if you were to buy them online.backing up a dvd is dead easy if you have the right software,i let a m8 that had mental issues, dyslexia, drug and alcohol problems back up a dvd on my computer he'd never used a computer before and with about 4 clicks he did it.
^^^the point im making is burning a dvd is not rocket science.

1 last thing i'd like to point out is any average person with about $150 can buy a pentium 4 2nd hand a dvd burner new and back them up him/her self.

custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original, yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.
