Hey all. I haven't been around much, but wanted to check out the sites for cheapest epson compatable ink. I checked the usual supermediastore and rima and they only had $21 per set of 6 including shipping for the R200-R300 series.

Any other new sites?

I did order some from megatoners for $2.59 each and free shipping. $15.54 per set and free shipping. I ordered there the last time as well and seems like decent ink.

I sure do miss those sales from past years when supemediastore would have 8 sets for $50

Ink or cartridges?

If you are located in the US, you will have to purchase from Canada (or outside the US). An injunction won by Epson makes it illegal to sell "clone" cartridges in the US. Meritline used to be the cheapest but they had to stop selling clone carts.

I use CISSes in both of my Epson printers, and refillable carts in my Dad's. The big 4 letter auction site has plenty of clone Epson ink sellers. I've found that they're all about the same.

Ink Carts. Used to be a buck each 4 yrs ago. Then take the empties back to staple's to get $3 vouchers per empty cart.

http://www.megatoners.com/info.html

Brooklyn NY.

Staple's now gives $3 per empty ink cart in reward points. They used to,then omitted epson, but then added them back in there again.

Meritline and supermediastore still carry them as well, but $21 per set of 6.

I forgot about rima.com,but they no longer carry epson ink carts.

I don't do a whole lot of printing to have a CISS pan out. 2 sets per year is plenty for me. My dad and a couple buddies at work have printers take the same compatable ink carts.

I am happy so far with The laser set up . Regular Bright white Paper is much cheaper then Photopaper Too !!! I'm still going to use my Epson Nx_300 All in one For Scanning , Printing Photo's , using it as the Copying part of My home office / sQuatch-cave and printing copies out with the laser . If they ever make a Laser Printer that can Print on DVD's & CD's and No I Don't mean a Thermal Printer like they have now ! But a Real laser Printer than can do Paper and Disc like The Epson & Canon Inkjets do now then I'm There Dude !!! Til then my erstwhile Mucusoid Pal ! I'll do the covers on the laser and the disc with a sharpie !!! Kind reminds me I' ve Gotta see about Getting some ink for the epson Running low on a cart or Two - In case I wanna print some cam photos ect... other than that It's laser Time !!! Good Luck with your quest for Ink and Have a Boogerific Day LOL!!!!!!!! Ciao!!!

Is a cloned cart the same thing as a remanufactured cart? Meritline has the remanufactured ones on it's site for my RX680. I was buying carts for $5.90 from inkforsale however Meritline's $4.95 is cheaper even if I add the shipping charge.

No. A remanufactured cart is an Epson branded cartridge that has been refilled and has an Epson chip.

A clone cart is a non-Epson cart with a compatible (but not official) chip

So perhaps the ink tank that fits in an outer adapter with an Epson compatible chip on it (sold by 4inkjets) is a clone cart? 4inkjets stopped selling them 2 months ago & now only offers real OEM Epson carts.

Why would Epson only allow remanufactured carts to be sold & not the clone carts? Thats silly. Oh well, they dropped the RX series to offer the Artison 800 series which does print on CD's although you can't find generic or remanufactured carts for it yet.

I am not a lawyer and cannot speak to the patent infringment case directly. here is the last post on the issue that pretty well makes the injunction permanent.

I'm still waiting on that shipment. They must have sent it via Amish Buggy!

I still haven't located anything cheaper.

They Epson or anyone else Can't Force you to use their cartridges but With the whole Chip Patent thing or whatever They've Done the Next Best Thing !!! Kinda Like you Just have a very Heavy attractive Paperwieght if you can't buy ammo for your Firearm !!! The problem (Here in the USA) is that Epson is the only company that offers CD/DVD inkjet printing so I'm stuck with them even though I save a few bucks buying remanufactured carts over the Epson OEM ones.
