I'm running Codebreaker 1.1, and after trying to download a cheat, I discovered that it would refuse to connect to the internet. I just kept getting some message that said to check the cable or internet setting. The thing is, since it worked before, why won't it work now? Also, as a test, I deleted the previous internet profile on the memory card, created a new one, tested it, and it will connect just fine. However, despite this, I didn't recieve any better luck.
Any idea why this is happening? I mean did Codebreaker close it's doors on updating, or is it something else? I mean, logically, if everything is still the same, and nothing has changed, then it should still work, right? So what has gone wrong? Am I going to have to update the version of Codebreaker I'm running? If so then where is a link, so that I can put an udate program on a jump drive, and update it?
Edit: I tested Gameshark out; it works just fine on connecting to the internet. I tested Codebreaker, and again, no connection. Did Codebreaker shut down/withdraw support or something?

Is that so? Hmm...is there any other cheating devices that are made for the PS2 that are kept up to date?

Can you update from USB Stick also ? Is so look here and download the PAL and NTSC Day1 files , you put them on an USB Stick in the root folder and update the database from there . This only works on consoles up to 75xxx . Which do you have ?

My console is a scph-5001 I think, so bascially I'm good to go. I managed to do what was suggested, and it worked. The only problem is that for some odd reason, when I put in a disc, it won't load the game. I was able to fix this by turning the tray eject option to "on." I can understand the entire need to refresh the TOC, but why does the tray need to be ejected now, when before it didn't really matter?
Also, if it helps any, I modded my console to use a flip top (which explains why I don't want it to eject ie. because the tray just won't), and I also use HDLoader, so as to play directly from the hard drive, because yes, loading screens are annoying. However, as stated earlier, it's not just HDLoader that won't boot when you choose to start the game via codebreaker, but also any other official PS2 games I put into it. So, one problem fixed, only to wind up with another problem that's equally infuriating...se la vie.

Are you running HD Loader from you MC or Disc ?
If it's on MC then you must make a copy of the ELF , then rename it to Cb_launch.elf and put it in the same place as the initial elf . By doing that , when you run a game with codes loaded it should load HD Loader .

Actually I'm running HDLoader from a disc. The reason? I have no way to put anything onto/off of the memory card, so I'm a bit limited in this sense.

Do you have Swap Magic ? Get a dvd image of ULaunchELF , burn it ,run it. Then , copy BOOT.ELF from the HD Loader disc to the root of the memory card . Make another copy of this file and rename CB_launch.elf , place it on the memory card .

Sorry, but I can't do that. As I stated before I have no way to transfer information onto/off of my memory card. As a result it is impossible for me to do what your suggestion although I would at least try if I could.

I really don't understand why you can't . You USB ports work ? Memory card work ? Cd drive works ? ULaunchelf can copy/paste from one place to another . You just have to boot it somehow .
You say you have a fliptop , so you have a fat console ? Do you have Swap Magic ? Which version ? Codebreaker is version 10.1 right ?

In other words, what your saying is, that by running Ulaunch from a disc, it will save the required data to the memory card? Makes sense I guess. I thought you were talking about transfering data from the computer directly to the memory card! ^^;

There are some devices to use on Pc , like this one , but UlaunchELF is a file browser , and you can move around files in between memory card, usb stick and cd drive .
