Hi i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix my disc tray, well this is what is happening, i was opening my disc tray to clean it once i cleaned it and closed my ps2 screws and all i was going to play a my ps2 game and i opened my disc tray and put my ps2 game in and then closed the tray but then 2 seconds later the disc tray oped again i never touched the buttom or anything to open it and i closed it again again and again but the samething happen each and every time. could someone

PLEASE HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!!!!!!!

it'll be the open close switch in the drive isn't being activated when you close the drive.

If you open the ps2 and look inside of the drive under the black plastic cover you'll see a white slider which raises and lowers the laser carriage this is what activates the switch to tells your ps2 that the drive is closed or open.

not sure how to fix it just taken a few dead one's apart and messed with them had one like that just got the drive closed and never opened it again cut a hole in the top of the case and would swap the disks that way.
