Is there any way to make changes to save game data. Are there any editors or something out there that would allow me to make changes?

Background: I have a PS2 savegame for Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain that has a user name that I dont like. I am just wanting to change the name. I cant do it in actual game. Thanks for all of your help...

You could google for a save game modifier for that particular game, there isn't a generic PS2 game save editor that works with every game, as all the saves are differently made.

You could try copying the save to a USB drive, then connecting the drive to a PC, and opening the file with a hexeditor. The username might even be changable without the hex editor for some games.
