So... I was browsing the internet and found a REALLY GOOD deal on a network adapter/ hard drive on a broken ps2. (The guy is askin for $30 for a ps2 w/ a broker laser but the net adapter/hard drive included)

I was originally thinking of getting a DMS4 EZI Mod chip, but if I can just do this, I would prefer it.

So if I get this, I can reinstall the hard drive/net adapter on my PS2 v7 or v8 (not sure) right. And with this, I can purchase "HD Advance 3.0 NTSC" by itself to run PS2 backups from the hard drive?

I don't need a modchip or swap magic disc to run the HD Advance disc if I purchase it correct? (I read somewhere it is a "pressed disc" like Swap magic)

When I get this done, I'll should be able to get my PS2 backups working right? How about CD backups for psx or those purple PS2 games?

If someone could just clear me up on any of these questions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
